Sharon's Story

As an educator, Sharon was very active. Because of significant knee pain, she was forced to retire and her treatment was no longer covered through insurance.

Sharon continued to use what she learned in therapy to try and minimize the pain. Shortly after, she learned about It’s Time Texas’ Health Coaching program which provided her support, accountability, and motivation.

She found the program easy to use and enjoyed having someone she could talk to for encouragement. Today, the pain in Sharon’s knees is under control and she is no longer kept her from being active or getting restful sleep. Recently, Sharen shared with her coach, “I move around now without thinking about my knees or pain”.

Health coaching assistance is just a call, text, or video chat away. Available in English and Spanish, our certified health coaches provide personalized, one-on-one support OR virtual and in-person group support to help you set and achieve health goals, establish and maintain healthier habits, and prevent and manage chronic conditions.

The Community Challenge is back, and it’s all about showing up for your health alongside people across Texas! This year, the Challenge will run February 2 – March 29.Whether you’re joining solo, with friends or coworkers, or as part of a larger community, this Challenge is a chance to build healthier habits, stay motivated, and feel supported along the way.
