Story & Media Release Authorization

Healthier Texas values the stories, experiences, and participation of our community. This Story & Media Release Authorization explains how voluntary submissions and event photography may be used.

1. Voluntary Story and Media Submissions

By submitting a story, testimonial, photograph, video, audio recording, or other content (“Submission”) to Healthier Texas, you voluntarily grant Healthier Texas and its authorized representatives permission to use, reproduce, edit for clarity or length (without materially altering the intent), publish, and distribute your Submission in public-facing communications.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • The information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

2. Public Event Photography and Implied Consent

Healthier Texas may photograph, film, or record events, programs, workshops, health fairs, community gatherings, and partner-hosted activities that are open to the public.

By entering and attending a Healthier Texas public event or public-facing partner activity, you acknowledge and agree that photography, videography, and audio recording may occur. Attendance at such events constitutes implied consent to be photographed, filmed, or recorded and for those images or recordings to be used by Healthier Texas for marketing, communications, educational, reporting, and outreach purposes.

3. Minors

Healthier Texas takes care when using images of minors.

  • We do not intentionally identify minors by full name without parent or legal guardian consent.

  • Close-up or featured images of minors may require additional written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

  • Images of minors will not be paired with sensitive personal health information without explicit guardian authorization.

If you submit content that includes a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and have authority to grant this release on their behalf.

4. Revocation

You may request removal of your Submission from future use by contacting Healthier Texas in writing. While we will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests for future materials, content that has already been published, distributed, or incorporated into printed materials may not be retractable.
