We strive to incorporate the width and depth of Texans’ experiences in health policy. Healthier Texas pushes for changes in health using community members’ voices and feedback as its inspiration. Starting with the smallest unit – the individual Texan – Healthier Texas encourageshealth champions to build healthier habits that drive community-based decision making, motivating campaigns and advocacy, all in the name of building a healthier Texas.

At Healthier Texas, we understand that staying healthy isn’t always easy. That is why we have partnered with local community leaders, faith based organizations, and Texas Health Resources to bring services and support right to where you live, work, and worship.

Community Challenge
The Community Challenge is a free, eight-week competition that unites Texans to build a healthier Texas! For all Texans. For all health levels. Thanks to the more than 13,000 participants, representing more than 300 Texas communities, who made the 2025 Community Challenge the best yet!
